Home Page

• If your home page is sorted alphabetically by either Title or Author, enter Letter Keys (a, b, c, ...) and press the 5-was controller to jump to the page containing the first book starting with that letter,"The", "A", "An" are ignored.
• Alt+Shift+M: Minesweeper game.
• To Display the Time and Free Memory, Press the MENU button.

Viewing Books or Periodicals

• To display an image in full screen mode: Point the 5-way controller to the image, the magnifying glass will be displayed in the center of the image. Press the controller to view the image in full screen mode. Press the controller again to switch to normal mode.
• Alt+B: bookmark the current page, unbookmark the current page. You can view all bookmarks by pressing MENU My Notes & Marks.
• Alt+Aa: to change text size, text-to-speech speech rate, text-to-speech speaking voice (male or female).
• Shift+SYM: start/stop text-to-speech.
• Alt+Shift+1 to 9: changes the spacing between lines (the default is 3).

Search Commands

• Type in a word from any screen. A search box will pop up automatically. Move the 5-way controller to the right twice and select the search location.
• To limit search to a single book, open the book and enter your search term.
• To search all books on your Kindle, click the HOME button, enter your search term.
• To search Wikipedia from any screen, enter the term and move the 5-way controller right to select Wikipedia.
• To search the internet from any screen, enter the term and move the 5-way controller right to select Google.

Text-to-speech

• Shift+SYM: start/stop text-to-speech.
• During text-to-speech: press Spacebar to pause/resume text-to-speech.

Look for free buy and sell sites. With a free buy and sell site, chances are the classified ads are also free. This means that sellers get to offer very low prices compared to other sites that offer fees for the display of for-sale items. This is because they do not jack up the price that they spent for the advertisement. The price of the items that they sell is just the plain selling price excluding any advertising cost.

Look for reliable sellers. Although free buy and sell offers you low price, it should not be the only basis for buying the item. You should be sure that you get the items just as it is displayed on the site. It would surely cost you more if you think that a Prada bag is original for instance, and you paid for its authenticity and when it is delivered to you, it turns out fake. As much as possible, contact the seller and ensure that what is displayed in the site is real and worth the cost. In other words, scrutinize the items well before actually buying it.

Buy and sell items that are popular in your target market. The nearest markets you have are your friends, colleagues, and peers. Know what is hot and saleable to them and search those items in the free buy and sell site. Once you know what they are looking for, you can buy the items from the site and sell it to them at still affordable price.  Most likely, you get the items at very low bargain so you can still offer a very competitive price than when they buy it somewhere else.

Register to a buy and sell site so you’ll get updates. Some sites offer free registration and still you get the privilege of knowing the newest items sold in the site. If you think you have buyer for the new items sold, at least, you’ll be the first to grab it and sell it accordingly. This would surely be a continuous business for you.
