I don’t know anyone making a fortune with affiliate marketing, but I do believe it is possible, which is why I bought this book. If you are an affiliate marketer, you might find much of this book repetitive. But, if you are not making a fortune and want to, then this book is for you.

Most of us know it takes a llloooooonnnnnngggg time to make any money from most affiliate programs, and Gardner doesn’t tell you you can get rich overnight. I found her information to be true to what everyone else is saying–build a good website (or websites) with great content, find good paying companies to promote and run your affiliate business like—a business. What a concept! (I find many people throw up a few pages of content and a couple of links and then start waiting for the money. As if. . .)

I like this book because there are actual “how-to’s” in here–how to set up tracking tools and spreadsheets, how and when to create content, how to promote your business, how to get your website up, when to expand your business, what to do when an affiliate doesn’t pay, how to find affiliates, and much more.

If you are looking for get rich quick scams, look somewhere else. If you are looking for a guide to having your own successful affiliate business, get this book.

I follow up to everything I can find written by Rosalind Gardner including her website and I can say that her material is quite solid and no pitch. This book kept my interest from first page to the last one. These days you can meet lots of gurus in affiliate marketing but from my own experience I learned that from some of them you should stay far away if you don’t want to let them use your bank account as their own.

Example: you pay for initial product, never receive this product, your requests for getting money back never reach anybody and on top of that in a month you suddenly find out that this “guru” is now charging you for phantom membership. Your emails stay never responded, your calls never get any effect, so you have to ask your bank to close access to your account for this thief. Your brains get dried off with this fight against the wind and you are not even close to success in online business.

With Rosalind you are safe, she is open in many ways, and all you need is just to work hard for her instructions to bring you that fortune. I enjoyed her book and will definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to learn about marketing online.

The information I obtained from the book has been very helpful in seeing a more clear way of what the affiliate business is all about. The author of the book is very knowledgeable in the affiliate business, specially in the start up face of the business.

Rosalind Gardner is an expert in her field and teaches by, not only showing us the pitfalls of the Affiliate Business, but by showing us what has been successful, what works. If you want a primer that will teach you the ins and outs…the ropes…this will bring you up to speed. The resource portion at the end is worth its weight in gold.

I am a newbie to online marketing–especially affiliate marketing. If, like me, you want to understand the “how to’s”, buy this book. It is a very easy read. And, perhaps more importantly, it recommends numerous websites that provide additional resources to investigate. These resources force you to think and dive deep in to the subject matter as you search the web. By the time you have finished exploring these referencing you will know more about affiliate marketing than you could have imagined. Ms. Garner succeeds in teaching what could be a very technical subject, in a very layperson way. I recommend it to any newbie who wants to see how you can make money through e-commerce.

Rosalind Gardner’s book was an excellent source of information for me on affiliate marketing. By promoting an ethical way of marketing, she really puts integrity into this niche, much needed.

I am new to affiliate marketing and have found this book very helpful along with her Super Affiliate course. If you are looking for a get-rich-quick system, don’t buy this book. (no such thing anyway).

If you are looking to learn a method clearly spelled out, easily followed (it does take time and effort) and informative, buy it!

One thing that makes this book different from her “Affiliate Program Handbook” is that in the digital title she does two things: it’s more step by step, and she teaches you how she does her pay per click campaigns.

This book isn’t so much a step by step guide as it is a blueprint. What Rosalind does is explain in great detail what affiliate marketing is, what you need to get started, and where to go to find good affiliate programs related to what you want to sell. In other words, you get an outline of the process that’s involved, and the steps you need to take.

One thing I’ve learned over the last 7+ years that I’ve been in business is that most of those who are new to online business just want to jump in and start making money immediately. Usually they have some kind of bill they need to pay quickly, or they need extra money. The problem here is that although online business will get you started more quickly, it still takes a little time to start making money.

That’s why Rosalind’s system works so well. It helps you lay a strong foundation for affiliate business success by introducing you to the key principles and showing you how to get started. She will also introduce you to the basics of internet marketing, outline the most effective techniques, and show you how to start marketing your business once you’ve built your first website.

For those who are interested in getting started in affiliate marketing (it is the easiest business to start), or for those who need a good refresher course, start here. This is pretty straightforward stuff, and it will help you understand the basics pretty well.

Unlike a lot of internet marketing information out there, this is pretty hype free, and the information she offers is solid.

Rosalind Gardner is the first person whose name comes to mind when I think about learning about how to become a successful affiliate. She’s “walked the talk” as a very successful affiliate herself, for many years, and is sharing her top strategies in this useful book.

It gives a practical roadmap and tips for exactly what affiliate marketing is all about, and is great for those getting started in affiliate marketing, or for us seasoned marketers, to make sure we’re doing everything we should be… I look at it like a checklist, to make sure I’m covering all the bases she explains.

Very well done, I highly recommend it.

Rosalind Gardner out did herself with this book. Gardner’s earlier book, “The Super Affiliate Handbook” is her most talked about but, “Making a Fortune Promoting Other People’s Stuff Online” is better written and focuses on promoting other peoples stuff. Her earlier book is more general affiliate marketing information although the layout of subject content is similar. I found her Super Affiliate book missed some points she tried to make or totally never answered the theme of the chapter and wandered off the topic. With Make a Fortune, Gardner has better organized her information and presents it in a readable manner. The book covers the topic well and has plenty of references to get you started. There are a couple of product recommendation I suggest you investigate prior to purchasing as I found them less than desireable. For example, the Affiliate Organizer software, in my opinion, is a badly written database program that you would be better off with Gardner’s alternate suggestion of using a spreadsheet for your affiliate recordkeeping. I find that product recommendations by some affiliate marketers is more a,”scratch mine, and I’ll scratch yours” proposition where the individual may not have throughly tested the product. That aside, “How to make a Fortune Promoting Other People’s Stuff Online” is a great value and well written in addition it is far less expensive then the “Super Affiliate Handbook” while covering almost the same ground.
