This is a great answer for anyone who feels that the K2 is “slippery”! I got the “Bookshelf” GelaSkin, and love it! I know it’s pricey…but it’s definitely not slippery! And it really personalizes the look of my K2! (I know that DecalGirl is releasing skins now for the K2…but I personally prefer a white front. With skins on the front of the Kindle, it seems to me that it would no longer “disappear” while reading.) One reviewer (M.E. Cushing) said that this skin doesn’t fit properly…maybe that one was defective, because mine is a perfect fit with holes cut out for the speakers. I am very happy with it and would definitely buy another.

I love Gelaskins and when I saw they were available for the Kindle, I was very happy. I have kept a skin on all of my electronics to keep down the surface wear n tear. I also love the ability to customize and individualize my electroics.
I dont understand why most of the reviewers gave a low star rating when all they had to do was research and find out what a “skin” is. And, yes, you can get they cheaper. But Gelaskins give a nice cut to the actual artists. You are paying for a genuine art reproduction, not a generic computer generated skin like sold on most other sites.

I love the skin cover I bought for my new KINDLE 2… it is colorful and I do not have to worry about scratches. A small monetary investment for peace of mind.

This colorful protective skin for the back of the Kindle 2 goes on easily and looks great. It has cutouts where the speakers are located, so it doesn’t interfere with sound. I think it would provide extra protection from scratches, too. I bought this, however, at the same time I bought a $29.99 Kindle Leather Cover (http://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Kindle-2-Leather-Cover/dp/B001JAH7OM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=fiona-hardware&qid=1238676212&sr=1-1), and I never really SEE the skin due to the fact that I keep my Kindle 2 in this cover. I absolutely LOVE the cover!! If you want to personalize your Kindle 2 and don’t plan on housing it in one of the covers offered by Amazon, you’ll like one of these protective GelaSkins.

I found this product through reading other reviews and thought that it would be a good product to have just for a little added protection. Frankly I just liked the look of it. Very easy to put on and I like the feel of it on my fingers as I am holding my “SO LOVED” Kindle. This particular design really reflects what the kindle is and I will get other skins for my electronic gadgets eventually too.

I recently purchased a Gelaskins Protective Skin for my Amazon Kindle 2 and I could not be happier. After opening the package I became skeptical. I thought I would never be able to get it to go on smoothly, but the skin went on without a pimple or dimple. It looks great, it makes my Kindle easier to grip and helps keep it clean.
