  2. ‘Mark Joyner claims that The Irresistible Offer has application that stretched well beyond the bounds of marketing and advertising, touching ‘almost every aspect of your life to great effect’. I absolutely agree. I read this book from my point of view as a member of the clergy and immediately saw relevance to the development of more effective sermons, fund-raising letters, and even outreach campaigns. ‘The amazing little book ought to be required reading for any advertising executives, politicians marketers, or even clergy before they engage in any types of promotional campaigns. ‘Mark understands that making a sale is a relatively easy thing to do once you learn a certain set of skills. Your typical bookstore has shelves filled with books and audios that teach the psychology and skills that should be employed to convince people to send you their hard earned cash in exchange for whatever you are selling. ‘Where this book differs from most is that is teaches something exceedingly more important than simply making a sale.   4. There is no doubt about it at all – WAY too many people write

    reviews with minimal substance, and leave you wondering “Why

    did I focus all my time and energy reading THIS book review?”

    Well, What I can say is that Mark’s new book (and I was lucky

    enough to get my hands on a preview copy about 2 months ago!)

    completely flipped my marketing on its head. I was so inspired

    by Mark’s book, that I reviewed, revised and recreated several

    of the offers for my various products – and guess what…

    This should be a staple in everyone’s library. There is no doubt THE IRRESISTABLE OFFER by Mark Joyner will make you a better writer and/or salesperson. In fact, this book will make you better at a lot of things even above and beyond the business world.

    I didn’t make a lot of notes in this book, but certainly learned more than I thought I would. I believe this is a book you will have to read more than once to fully absorb. The book also comes with free software and audio material that I have not yet downloaded, but if it is of the same or similar quality as the lessons of the book, I’m sure it will be invaluable.

    One of my favorite parts of the book was the last chapter where Joyner talks about applying what we learn. I can’t agree more with this. So many people believe all they have to do is read and learn. Without practical application (yeah, that means you’ve actually got to get off your toocus and change something about yourself), all the reading and learning is moot.

    The last half of the book is geared towards internet marketing and some of it was difficult for me to follow. Another reason why I will definitely go back and reread this one. Joyner’s writing style is, as expected, great. This is not a book I would recommend without a good understanding of sales and writing. If this were the first book you ever read in these categories you would probably come away thinking you knew a lot more than you actually do. Bone up on basics before you go for the gusto.
