I recently bought this book. It is spiral bound like it was made at Kinkos. After reading it and checking out the information in it I found that the author left out a ton of pertinent information.

First of all, the information in regards to the phone you should have and the scanner are really misleading. She neglects to tell you that you can only get this device through one company and they have to format a special phone for you. I called the company she lists and was told that the cost is between $600 and $800. She doesn’t tell you that.

Second, the information on buying postage online is wrong. She states that using a company called [...] is great. She says you can send books media mail rate and add delivery confirmation for only an additional fourteen cents. You cannot add delivery confirmation to any media mail, it is not allowed by the USPS. [...] charges you a monthly fee as well. You might as well just sign up with the USPS and save the monthly fee.

Third, she gives a lot of bad advice on how much to pay for books. She pays way too much for her books and advises you to do the same.

It almost seems like she is plugging these bad companies for a fee. You can find much more information by just researching online. Say yourself some money and don’t buy it.

This book is a MUST HAVE for anyone wishing to make a few hundred dollars a month to a few thousand. I loved the author’s familiar writing style. At times I forgot that I was reading a manual! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun and easy way to supplement their income. Thank you for this book! It’s given me the ability to make some extra money and spend time with my kids.

I bought this book thinking that it would help me to set up a book selling account in Amazon. This book was a complete waste of time. A lot of the information is wrong or outdated!! It is not even a book, it is a plastic spiral bound mess. It looks like something a child would have made. Really bad!

I researched the information she provided in her book and she neglects to tell you the “real” cost for some of the suggested items such as the scanner, postage, shipping items, etc. She also tells you how much to pay for books, totally wrong!!! I sell books now and don’t pay more than 10 cents to 25 cents for any books, collectible or not!! I you want to make money as a book seller just do the opposite of everything she tells you.

Save your money and do a little research on-line. You will find more information. Amazon actually gives you a ton of information and it is free.

No more spiral binding. Reading the book is, as others have mentioned, like getting advice from your best friend. Ms. Miller shows herself to be a conscientious and warm person throughout the book and in her email communications when the book is ordered. She aims to help the reader avoid the mistakes she made while establishing her online book selling business. The book is detailed and thorough, although I thought it to be a bit repetitive. There is a vast amount of information contained in the book, and the author is frank in discussing her limitations as a mentor in the world of book selling. Ms. Miller’s honesty and generosity are refreshing. If you are considering starting an online business selling used books, be sure to read this. If you are looking for a really nice, sincere, giving, friendly, person, you can get to know one by reading this book.
