Taylor is a wonderful story teller, I did get caught up right nice in the story. Problem is only half of the story is here. You reach the end and are told the story continues with the sequel due to be released in September 2009. Sequel?? Don’t you have to have one complete story before you get a sequel? I read this entire story in under 2 hours……….not what I expected after paying 6.99 for it. I expected a novel length story. And Amazon has no mention anywhere on their web site about a second book thats supposed to be available this month sometime. Maybe all this information should be available before someone buys the first book? Like I said I think this is a good story but the cost and dissapointment of an unfinished story would have kept me from buying it in the first place if I had but known. I feel ripped off!

Okay, so I just read this book and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I got caught up in it very quickly. The imagery was very good and the characters were well thought out.
The story is about a vampire named Symon who is the “leader of the vampires”. He’s worked out a truce with the werewolves and they are, at least temporarily co-existing. He’s set up clubs for the vampire race as a means of income and also as a food source – the werewolves profit from it as well. But Tess, the one he’s been waiting for comes into the picture. She’s done something that could upset the truce. He’s caught between keeping his species safe and hiding her, or what she’s done from the werewolves.
There’s lots of action, romance and erotica. The love scenes were steamy and the fight scenes were scary. I can’t wait to see where it goes. At the end of the book, it says “The second installment of the Consumed series is due out in October of 2009.”

I really like this book and its characters. The story was very well written and I read it in just one day. However I do agree with the others that complained that the story is too short. I have also searched for the next book that was suppose to be released 4 months ago and I can’t find anything else by this author. I also agree that the price is too high for a book this small. It was more like a mini-book. The book ended in the middle of the story line and just leaves you hanging wanting more but there is none to be found????

I can pay $5.49 and get a whole book most times…not this time. The book was okay, writing not bad, not the best, but entertaining. I was disappointed that the story abruptly ended in the middle, and at the end says “To Be Continued October 2009″. I’m not sure about the date today but I could swear its February 17, 2010. I have searched for the conclusion to no avail. Maybe they decided against the continuation? I would maybe wait until the price goes down or the continuation does come out to purchase this short story.

The story was ok – I did enjoy it. If you’re looking for a steamy, really hot, vampire story, this is it. However, it’s extremely short. I paid $5.49 for what amounted to a short story, which I read in less than 2 hours.
